New Recycling Service for Lachlan Shire

In December 2016, we commenced servicing domestic waste bins in the Lachlan Shire, encompassing Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo and surrounding towns. A new recycling service is being introduced April 3rd 2017. Prior to that date we will be providing residents with new bins as part of the new waste and recycling services being put in place. JR Richards will be servicing approximately 2,500 bins weekly for General Waste and fortnightly service for Recycling. Residents of Condobolin will also receive fortnightly service to Organic waste, on alternate weeks to their Recycling collection service....

Great Lakes Annual Metal and Bulky Waste Collection

The 2014 Metal and Bulky Waste Cleanup will be held from May 5th – June 13th. All Great Lakes Council domestic residences currently receiving a weekly waste and fortnightly recycling collection service. Where do I put my bulky waste items? All items are to be placed neatly next to the edge of the kerb and not blocking the footpath at your normal weekly collection point. NSW EPA Crackdown on Tyre Retailers

A month-long blitz on 258 tyre retailers across Sydney, the Hunter and the Illawarra by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) at the end of last year assessed compliance in lawfully disposing of unwanted tyres. It found 50 per cent of tyre retailers were unaware of their legal responsibility to ensure waste tyres are take to a lawful facility. The blitz was part of a campaign to curb illegal stockpiling and dumping of tyres, and to reduce the risk of toxic blazes.
